Last Tango in Paris at Paradise Factory Postponed
Dangerous Ground Productions’ staging of Last Tango in Paris, conceived and directed by Doris Mirescu, has been postponed indefinitely. The show was scheduled to run August 22-September 6 at the Paradise Factory.
The company has released the following statement in conjunction with the postponement: “Dangerous Ground Productions would like to withdraw a press release that was mistakenly sent out advertising a world premiere stage adaptation of Last Tango in Paris. Our work is not in any way an “adaptation” or a “staging” of the film Last Tango in Paris. It is a multimedia experimental workshop. It is foremost a student exercise developed in a classroom and inspired by film language. We are deeply sorry for any confusion that may have resulted.”
The production was to star Kira Davies, Patrick Flynn, Angelica Pasquini and Benjamin Sinclair, and feature live cameras by Richard Gartrelll and Patrick Flynn; live music by Michael Attias; production design by Keri Moskowitz; and sound by Cory Allen.
Mirescu is the founder of Dangerous Ground Productions, and her credits include Beware of A Holy Whore, Madness of Day,The Distance from Here, and Aching To Go Home.
