Ute Lemper to Perform Benefit for Braking the Cycle

Ute Lemper will perform a special benefit concert at 9pm on Saturday, August 25 at the Zipper Factory, with proceeds to be donated to Braking the Cycle, the annual bike ride that raises funds for the battle against AIDS. This year’s ride will begin on Friday, September 28 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and end in New York City.

Lemper starred on Broadway and London in Chicago, for which she won the Olivier Award. Her other theater credits include international productions of Cats, Cabaret, and The Blue Angel. In addition, she has performed frequently at the Café Carlyle and Joe’s Pub, and has released numerous CDs.
