Tamara Tunie Makes Film Directing Debut with See You in September

Broadway actress and producer Tamara Tunie is making her film directing debut with See You in September, according to Variety.
The film, which was set to begin filming today, stars Estella Warren as a successful Manhattan woman who begins a therapy group once her therapist goes on vacation in August. The cast also features Justin Kirk, David Eigenberg, Michael Hyatt, Liza Lapira, and James McDaniel.
Tunie has co-starred on Broadway in Oh, Kay! and Julius Caesar and is a producer of the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening. She is best known for her roles as Dr. Melinda Warner on Law & Order: SVU and Jessica Griffin on the CBS daytime drama As The World Turns.
