Goodman, Palin, Rebeck, et al. Set to Appear at Barnes & Noble

Paul Scott Goodman, Michael Palin, and Theresa Rebeck will be among the artists appearing at free events in September at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle (Broadway and 66th Street).

Palin, an original member of the Monty Python troupe, will be on hand at 7pm on Tuesday, September 4 for a reading of his new book Diaries 1969-1979: The Python Years.
On Monday, September 10 at 7pm, there will be a discussion and performance of the New York City Opera production of Margaret Garner. The Jewish People’s Philharmonic Chorus will perform at 3pm on Sunday, September 16, while playwright Theresa Rebeck will visit at 5:30pm on Tuesday, September 25 along with cast members from the Manhattan Theatre Club production of her new work, Mauritius.

Two NYMF-related events will be held at the store. On Thursday, September 20 at 5:30pm, TheaterMania contributor Peter Filichia will moderate a panel discussion Partnering With a Librettist featuring Gary Adler, Kevin del Aguila, Michael Patrick Walker, Charlie Gilbert, and Albert Innauarato; and at 5:30pm on Thursday, September 27, Kris Stewart moderates a discussion with Goodman and fellow musical theater writers Joe Iconis, Joel Adlen, and Cara Reichel.

Finally, the store’s popular Any Wednesday series, held each Wednesday at 6pm, will host singers Milla Ilieva (September 5), Jack Donohue (September 19), and Leslie Orofino (September 26).
