Gaines, Robards, Sanders, et al. Added to Roundabout Casts

The Roundabout Theatre Company has announced full casting for all four of its fall productions.

The cast of Terrence McNally’s The Ritz, to run September 14-December 2 at Studio 54, will feature Rosie Perez (Googie Gomez), Kevin Chamberlin (Gaetano Proclo), Brooks Ashmanskas (Chris), Caroline Aaron (Vivian Proclo), Patrick Kerr (Claude Perkins), Lucas Near-Verbrugghe (Tiger), Terrence Riordan (Michael Brick), Seth Rudetsky (Sheldon), Adam Sietz (Abe), David Turner (Duff), Lenny Venito (Carmine Vespucci), Ryan Idol (Patron), Teddy Coluca (Patron), Billy Magnussen (Patron), Mark Leydorf (Patron), Matthew Montelongo (Patron), Angela Pietropinto (Aunt Vera), Jeffrey Evan Thomas (Patron), Josh Breckenridge (Patron), Justin Clynes (Patron), Andrew Cooksey (Patron), Lukas Hassel (Patron), Nick Mayo (Patron), and Dillon Porter (Patron). The production will be directed by Joe Mantello.

The cast of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, to run September 21-December 16 at the American Airlines Theatre, will feature Claire Danes (Eliza Doolittle), Jefferson Mays (Henry Higgins), Boyd Gaines (Colonel Pickering), Jay O. Sanders (Alfred Doolittle), Helen Carey (Mrs. Higgins), Brenda Wehle (Mrs. Pearce), Kerry Bishé (Clara Eynsford Hill), Kieran Campion (Freddy Eynsford Hill), Sandra Shipley (Mrs. Eynsford Hill), Jonathan Fielding (Bystander), Robin Moseley (Bystander), and Karen Walsh (Parlour Maid). The production will be directed by David Grindley.

The cast of J.T. Rogers’ The Overwhelming, to run September 28-January 6 at the Laura Pels Theatre, will feature Chris Chalk (Gerard/2nd Market Man), Ron Cephas Jones (Joseph Gasana/Waiter/Hospital Orderly/Servant), Tisola Logan (Emiritha/Waitress/Market Woman), Boris McGiver (Jean-Claude Buisson/Jan Verbeek), Owiso Odera (UN Major/Man at Embassy Party), Charles Parnell (Samuel Mizinga), Linda Powell (Linda White-Keeler), James Rebhorn (Woolsey/British Doctor), Sam Robards (Jack Exley), Michael Stahl-David (Geoffrey Exley), and Sharon Washington (Elise/Party Guest/Rwandan Doctor). The production will be directed by Max Stafford-Clark.

The cast of Stephen Karam’s Speech and Debate, to run October 5-December 16 at the new Roundabout Underground space, will feature Susan Blackwell (Teacher/Reporter), Jason Fuchs (Solomon), Gideon Glick (Howie), and Sarah Steele (Diwata). The production will be directed by Jason Moore.
