Feinstein, Foster, Hamlisch, et al. Set for New York Pops Season

The New York Pops has announced its lineup of concerts for the 2007-2008 Carnegie Hall season.

The first concert, to be held on October 26, is That’s Entertainment: Hollywood’s Golden Era, to be conducted by Stuart Milan, with special guests Michael Feinstein and violin virtuoso Pip Clarke. Next up, on December 14, is A Holiday Celebration with guest conductor Doc Sevrinsen, soprano Nicole Cabell, and the 150-voice Fort Worth TCU Symphonic Choir.

On January 25, Andrew Litton will conduct Gershwin: Great Moments from Porgy and Bess and Dayful of Song with the Dallas Symphony Chorus. Next up, on February 8, Marvin Hamlisch headlines Swingin’ with Marvin. Finally, on April 4, Charles Abell conducts Oscar Hammerstein II: The Song Is You, with special guest Sutton Foster.
