McPherson will direct the show, which had its world premiere in September 2006 at London's Cottesloe Theatre. Hill and Norton are reprising their roles from that production; Norton won the Olivier Award for his performance.

Set in Dublin on Christmas Eve, the play concerns Sharky (Morse), who has returned to Dublin to look after his irascible, aging brother (Norton) who's recently gone blind. Old drinking buddies Ivan (Hill) and Nicky (Coster) are holed up at the house too, hoping to play some cards. But with the arrival of a stranger (Hinds) from the distant past, the stakes are raised ever higher.

McPherson's other plays include Shining City, The Weir, and Dublin Carol. The creative team will include Rae Smith (set and costume design), Neil Austin (lighting design), and Matthew Smethurst-Evans (sound design).
