Champlin, Wintertsteller, Winther, et al. Set for Mysteries of Harris Burdick

Charlie Brady, Matt Caplin, Donna Lynne Champlin, Caroline McMahon, Lynne Wintersteller, and Michael Winther will star in Barrington Stage Company’s Musical Theatre Lab production of Nathan Tysen and Chris Miller’s The Mysteries of Harris Burdick, August 21-September 1, at the Berkshire Athenaeum in Pittsfield. The show, which is based on the children’s book of the same name by Chris Van Allsburg, has a book and is directed by Joe Calarco.

Miller and Tysen are the co-authors of The Burnt Part Boys, which will be presented later this season by the Vineyard Theatre in New York. Among their many honors are the 2007 Kitty Carlisle Hart Award, the 2006 Richard Rodgers Award, and the 2003 Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation Grant.

The show’s creative team includes Brian Prather (sets), Guy Lee Bailey (costumes), Kat Fleishhacker and Garrett Herzig (lighting), Daniel A. Little (sound), and Tom Kitt (musical direction). Calarco is best known for directing Shakespeare’s R&J.
