The Flea Theatre will present the world premiere of Adam Rapp’s Bingo With the Indians, October 25-December 22. The production, to be directed by Rapp, will open officially on November 9.

The show will feature The Bats, the Flea’s resident acting company. The creative team will include John McDermott (sets), Daphne Javitch (costumes), Miranda Hardy (lighting), and Brandon Wolcott (sound).

The play focuses on a disgruntled East Village theater company that descends upon a small New England town. Rapp was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for Red Light Winter. His other work includes Nocturne, Blackbird, Finer Noble Gasses, Essential Self Defense, and American Sligo, which begins a New York run next month at Rattlestick Theatre Company. Rapp is also a filmmaker and a novelist; his newest book is The Year of Endless Sorrows.
