ABC’s Raisin in the Sun to Air on February 25

The television film adaptation of A Raisin in the Sun, starring Sean Combs, Audra McDonald, Phylicia Rashad, and Saana Lathan, will be broadcast on ABC on February 25, according to Variety.
The play tells the story of three generations of an African-American family living and struggling together on Chicago’s South Side in the 1950s. The film version will be directed by Kenny Leon, who helmed the Broadway revival, with a screenplay by Paris Qualles based on the play by Lorraine Hansberry.
A Raisin in the Sun will also feature John Stamos, Sean Patrick Thomas, David Oyelowo, Bill Nunn, and Ron Cephas Jones.
