Ron Raines to Star in Casa Mañana’s South Pacific

Broadway and television star Ron Raines will play Emile DeBecque in Casa Mañana’s production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s classic musical, South Pacific, August 15-20, at the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas. The production will be directed by Matt Lenz, with choreography by Michele Lynch.

The show will also feature Gina Biancardi (Nellie Forbush), Nicholas Rodriguez (Lt. Joseph Cable), Michele Liu Coughlin (Liat), Rayanne Gonzales (Bloody Mary), Steve Powell (Captain Brackett), Whit Reichert (Luther Billis), and Steven Jones (Commander William Harbison). The creative team includes Art Yelton (musical director/conductor), Ric Leal (costume coordinator), Jay Isham (lighting), and Ryan Mansfield (sound).

Raines’ Broadway credits include Chicago, Show Boat, and Teddy and Alice. He has recorded two solo CDs, Secret Passion and So In Love With Broadway, and can be heard on such CDs as My Favorite Broadway: The Love Songs and Man of La Mancha. He is known to millions of television viewers as Alan Spaulding on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light, for which he has received three Emmy Award nominations.
