The new Broadway musical High Fidelity will open at the Imperial Theatre on November 20, with an official opening scheduled for December 7. The show, which is based on the best-selling novel by Nick Hornby, will first play Boston’s Colonial Theatre, September 26-October 22.

The show will be directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie, and feature a score by Tom Kitt and Amanda Green, and a book by David Lindsay-Abaire. It will feature choreography by Christopher Gattelli, set design by Anna Louizos, costume design by Theresa Squire, lighting design by Ken Billington, and sound design by Acme Sound Partners.

High Fidelity follows the adventures of Rob, a record store owner who knows almost everything about pop music but almost nothing about how to keep a girlfriend. The cast will feature Will Chase (Rob), Jenn Colella (Laura), Christian Anderson (Dick), Jeb Brown (Ian), Jay Klaitz (Barry), Katy Mixon (Liz), Emily Swallow (Marie/Charlie), Jon Patrick Walker (Johnny the Drunk), and Kristin Wyatt (Anna/Alison).

The ensemble will consist of Justin Brill, Andrew Call, Matt Caplan, and Anne Warren, while Paul Castree, George Merrick, Tom Plotnick, Rachel Stern, and J.B. Wing will be the swings.
