Marcy Harriell, Aaron Lohr, Greg Naughton, and Kelli O’Hara will star in the New York Musical Theatre Festival’s (NYMF) developmental showcase production of Paul Scott Goodman’s Alive in the World, September 14-17 at the Sage Theatre. The show will be directed by Kurt Deutsch, founder of Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records.

The plot of the musical concerns four New Yorkers: Kate, a political activist (Harriell); her husband, Sam, a prematurely retired Wall Streeter (Naughton); Michael, a painter (Lohr); and Stella, a 9/11 widow (O’Hara). Goodman’s other shows include Bright Lights, Big City, Rooms, and Tiny Dancer.

Harriell starred on Broadway in Lennon and Rent, and was seen earlier this summer Off-Broadway in Getting Home. Lohr appeared Off-Broadway in See What I Wanna See and Bare. Naughton’s Off-Broadway credits include Golden Boy, The Seagull, and Jack’s Holiday. O’Hara, who is engaged to Naughton, is a two-time Tony Award nominee for The Pajama Game and The Light in the Piazza.
