Full Cast Set for BTF’s The Heidi Chronicles

Patricia Buckley, Christopher Corts, Jenn Harris, Laura Heisler, Lynn Hawley, and Tom Story will join stars Kate Jennings Grant and Scott Lowell in the Berkshire Theatre Festival production of Wendy Wasserstein’s The Heidi Chronicles, August 15-September 2.

The show will be directed by Maria Mileaf, whose credits include the Off-Broadway productions of Going to St. Ives, Lobster Alice, and Private Jokes Public Places.

First seen Off-Broadway in 1998 and then on Broadway in 1989, The Heidi Chronicles follows 20 years in the life of Heidi Holland, who eventually becomes a successful art historian and single mother. The play won Wasserstein, who died earlier this year at age 55, the Pulitzer Prize, Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Awards.
Stars Joan Allen and Boyd Gaines also picked up Tony Awards for their work. A 1995 TV version starred Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Hulce, Peter Friedman, Kim Cattrall, Shari Belafonte, Sharon Lawrence, Eve Gordon, and Jessica Hecht.

Grant’s Broadway credits include Wasserstein’s An American Daughter, as well as Proof. She appeared Off-Broadway in the musical Summer of ’42 and has previously appeared at the BTF in Talley’s Folly and The Misanthrope. Lowell has appeared in many regional productions and is best known for his role as Ted on the Showtime series Queer as Folk.
