2006 Tony Award winner John Doyle’s production of the Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical Company will begin performances at the Barrymore Theatre on October 30 and will open officially on November 29. The Broadway run of the show will reunite the 14-member cast of its initial presentation earlier this year at Cincinnati’s Playhouse in the Park, led by Broadway veterans Raúl Esparza as Bobby and Barbara Walsh as Joanne.

The cast also includes Keith Buterbaugh as Harry, Matt Castle as Peter, Robert Cunningham as Paul, Angel Desai as Marta, Kelly Jeanne Grant as Kathy, Kristin Huffman as Sarah, Amy Justman as Susan, Heather Laws as Amy, Leenya Rideout as Jenny, Fred Rose as David, Bruce Sabath as Larry, and Elizabeth Stanley as April.

Company features musical direction and orchestrations by Mary-Mitchell Campbell, set design by David Gallo, costume design by Ann Hould-Ward, and lighting design by Thomas C. Hase. As in Doyle’s production of Sweeney Todd, for which he won the Tony, the actor-singers also serve as the show’s on-stage orchestra.

The original production of Company — directed by Harold Prince, with musical staging by Michael Bennett — opened on Broadway in 1970 and earned five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. A limited-run Broadway revival of the show was presented by the Roundabout Theatre Company in 1995.
