Bridges, Denham, Gwiazdowski to Join The Lieutenant of Inishmore

Christopher Denham, Jerzy Gwiazdowski, and Jordan Bridges will replace David Wilmot, Domnhall Gleeson, and Jeff Binder, respectively, in the Broadway production of Martin McDonagh’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore on Tuesday, August 22.

Denham, who will play the lead role of Padraic, starred Off-Broadway last season in Red Light Winter, for which he won the Lucille Lortel Award for Best Actor. His other stage credits include Master Harold… and the boys and Wintertime. Gwiazdowski, who will play Davey, has been seen Off-Broadway in Clocks and Whistles and Balm in Gilead. Bridges, who will play James, has starred Off-Broadway in Big Al and The Dying City. The cast also includes David Wilson Barnes, Andrew Connolly, Dashiell Eaves, Peter Gerety, and Alison Pill.

The Lieutenant of Inishmore, which is directed by Wilson Milam, opened in February at the Atlantic Theatre and transferred to Broadway on April 19. The show received five Tony Award nominations, including Best Play and Best Director of a Play. The show’s original London production won the Olivier Award.
