Married couple Michele Pawk and John Dossett will join the Broadway cast of Mamma Mia! on October 19. Pawk will take on the lead role of Donna Sheridan while Dossett will play her love interest, Sam Carmichael.

On that same day, three other actors will join the cast: Olga Merediz, who has starred in Reckless and Man of La Mancha, will step into the role of Rosie; Carey Anderson will play Donna’s daughter, Sophie; and Andy Kelso will play her love interest, Sky. Both Anderson and Kelso will be making their Broadway debuts.

Pawk replaces Carolee Carmello, who is moving on to a production of Kathie Lee Gifford’s new musical Hurricane Aimee and then to the Broadway-bound musical Lestat. Pawk won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for Hollywood Arms and has also starred on Broadway in Cabaret, Chicago, and Crazy For You. She was most recently seen in the Roundabout Theatre Company production of The Paris Letter.

Dossett may currently be seen in the Roundabout’s production of The Constant Wife. He received a Tony nomination for his performance as Herbie in the recent revival of Gypsy and has also been seen on Broadway in Democracy and Dinner at Eight. He and Pawk met in 1993 when they were both in Hello Again at Lincoln Center Theater.

Mamma Mia!, which features the songs of the pop group ABBA, opened on Broadway on October 18, 2001.
