Doubt Cast Extends Through January 8

Cherry Jones, Brían F. O’Byrne, Heather Goldenhersh, and Adriane Lenox, the award-winning original cast of
Doubt, have extended their contracts through Sunday, January 8, 2006.

Jones, who plays Sister Aloysius, won the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel and Obie awards for Best Actress in a Play; O’Byrne, who plays Father Flynn, received Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards and a Tony nomination as Best Actor in a Play; Goldenhersh, who plays Sister James, was honored with a Theatre World Award and a Tony nomination, and Adriane Lenox, who plays Mrs. Muller, is the winner of the Tony, Drama Desk, and Lucille Lortel Awards for Best Featured Actress in a Play.

Doubt, written by John Patrick Shanley, won this year’s Pulitzer Prize for Drama, as well as the Tony Award for Best Play, and the Drama Critics Circle, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League, Obie, and Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Play. It was originally produced at Manhattan Theater Club before moving to Broadway in March 2005.
