Callaway, McKechnie, Reams Set for Provincetown Concert Series

The Provincetown Theater’s fall concert series will feature performances by Broadway stars Donna McKechnie, Liz Callaway, and Lee Roy Reams.

McKechnie will kick off the series with her critically acclaimed revue Gypsy in My Soul on Saturday, September 10. The show takes the audience on a tour of the star’s life on the road; it includes selections from some of her favorite roles, including Mama Rose in Gypsy, La Mome Pistache in Can Can, Carlotta inFollies, and Cassie in A Chorus Line, for which McKechnie won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

In An Evening With Liz Callaway (Saturday, September 17) the star will sing such show tunes as “Meadowlark” from The Baker’s Wife and “The Story Goes On” from Baby, as well as standards and 1960s pop classics.

Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance (Saturday, September 24) is a musical journey through Lee Roy Reams’ long theatrical career, which has included leading roles in Applause, Hello, Dolly!, La Cage aux Folles, and The Producers.

All shows will begin at 8pm at the Provincetown Theater, located at 238 Bradford Street in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
