In an effort to attract young audiences, the Atlantic Theater Company is offering 33 tickets priced at $10 each to every performance of its 2005-2006 season opener, The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow, which is set to run August 31-October 15. In addition, in honor of the company’s 20th anniversary season, new subscribers can see all of the mainstage shows for only $20 each.

The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow, written by Rolin Jones, tells the story of an American teenager who’s afraid to leave her house but is desperate to find her birth mother in China, so she builds a robot in her own image to complete the task. Jones received the American Theater Critics Association’s Elizabeth Osborne Award for an Emerging Artist. The Atlantic production of the play, to be directed by Jackson Gay, will star Michael Cullen, Linda Gehringer, Julienne Hanzelka Kim, Ryan King, Matthew Rauch, and Eunice Wong. It will feature scenic design by Takeshi Kata, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, costume design by Jenny Mannis, sound design by Daniel Baker, and original music by Matthew Suttor.

The Atlantic season will continue with a double bill of Harold Pinter’s first play, The Room, and his latest work, Celebration, directed by company artistic director Neil Pepe; the American premiere production of Martin McDonagh’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore; and the world premiere of Spring Awakening, a musical by pop songwriter Duncan Sheik and playwright Steven Sater, based on the play by Frank Wedekind and directed by Michael Mayer.

Beginning August 24, the $10 tickets can be purchased by visiting the box office at least two hours prior to curtain time or by calling 212-691-5919, ext. 126. For more information, visit www.atlantictheater.org
