The Actors Company Theatre (TACT) has announced that it will be kicking off its 10th season in a new space, the Florence Gould Hall at the French Institute Alliance Francais (55 East 59th Street). The new season will consist of five plays and, as is usual for TACT, they are all works that audiences rarely get the opportunity to see elsewhere. The 2002-2003 season is as follows:

Happy Birthday

A 1946 comedy that was originally produced by Rodgers and Hammerstein and starred Helen Hayes.

The Rivals
by Richard Brensley Sheridan
November 18-25, 2002
An 18th century satire of mistaken identities and romantic near-misses.

The Potting Shed
by Graham Greene
January 20-27, 2003
A 1957 Tony Award nominee for Best Play.

Eurydice
by Jean Anouilh
March 3-10, 2003
The U.S. premiere of Peter Meyers’s translation of this updated version of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth.

USA
by Paul Shyre & John Dos Passos
May 5-12, 2003
Based on Dos Passos’s novel about historical events at the dawn of the 20th century.
