The Fund is a national, nonprofit organization that serves not only actors but all professionals in the entertainment industry. Its areas of involvement include substance abuse, mental health services, senior and disabled care, nursing home and assisted living care, an AIDS Initiative, The Actors' Work Program, the Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative, the Artists' Health Insurance Resource Center, and supportive housing on both coasts. Founded in 1882, the Fund has earned a stellar reputation from over a century of service.
