Flashback Friday: A July 4 Tribute to Our Favorite Founding Father, Mr. Feeny

Before William Daniels became known to a generation of youngsters as the curmudgeonly teacher Mr. Feeny on TV's Boy Meets World, he was known to theatergoers as founding father John Adams in Peter Stone and Sherman Edwards' landmark musical 1776. Originating the role on Broadway and later in the film, Daniels wasn't billed above the title in the original stage production and famously turned down a potential Tony nomination in the Best Featured Actor category (as he was ineligible as Best Actor). But we love him anyway.
