Second Stage Theatre has announced a one-week extension for Laura Eason's Sex With Strangers, which opened Wednesday, July 30. Performances will now run through August 31, after beginning its off-Broadway run on July 8.
David Schwimmer directs the two-hander, starring Emmy winner Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad) and Tony nominee Billy Magnussen (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike), which tells the story of young blogger Ethan (Magnussen) and his sex-driven relationship with Olivia, an obscure, older novelist (Gunn).
Sex With Strangers has previously played the Sydney Theatre Company in Australia and Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago. The play features set design by Andromache Chalfant, costume design by ESosa, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, and sound design by Fitz Patton.
Eason is best known for her work on the hit Netflix series House of Cards.
