Margo Seibert, who currently stars as Adrian in Broadway's Rocky, will perform a solo cabaret at 54 Below on Monday, July 28, at 9:30pm. The show, titled Busy Being Free (inspired by the Joni Mitchell song "Cactus Tree"), will feature "the music that inspires her, tickles her, and speaks to this moment of finding herself in New York." She will be joined by song-writer Jahn Sood, musical director and pianist Chris Fenwick, and an ensemble of musicians including Alan Stevens Hewitt, Jeremy Yaddaw, and Ben Golder-Novick.
Seibert made her Broadway debut this past season in Rocky, in which she sings the music of Tony-winning songwriting team Ahrens & Flaherty along with her Tony-nominated costar Andy Karl. She also earned a Drama Desk nomination for her performance in Prospect Theater Company's Tamar of the River, which played at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in fall 2013.
