NYMF to Present The Music Box: An Evening of Lady Composers, Featuring the Work of Amanda Green, Mary-Mitchell Campbell, and More

The evening’s performers will include Ali Ewoldt, Allyson Tucker, and Emily Walton.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival will present The Music Box: An Evening of Lady Composers on July 23 at the Ford Foundation Studio Theatre at the Pershing Square Signature Center. The evening will highlight the work of emerging composers as well as seasoned veterans.

The Music Box will feature music by Masi Asare, Mary-Mitchell Campbell and Leslie Becker, Suzy Conn, Carmel Dean, Amanda Green, Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, Kailey Marshall, Grace McLean, Juliana Nash, Susannah Pearce, and Zoe Sarnak.

Performers will include Ali Ewoldt (Les Misérables), Allyson Tucker (Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life), Emily Walton (August: Osage County), Brigid Brady (The Phantom of the Opera), and Michael Mendez (Chaplin).
Karen Azenberg will direct the event. Azenberg was recently honored at the fifth annual Broadway Salutes ceremony for her 25-year commitment to the theatrical industry.

NYMF aims to revitalize musical theater culture by discovering and promoting new musical theatre artists, producers, and projects.
