Tony-winner Lin-Manuel Miranda's production company, 5000 Broadway Productions, has announced that its newest show, Vestments of the Gods, will be presented as part of the 18th annual New York International Fringe Festival. The show will run for five performances at Theatre 80 on St. Marks Place.

Vestments of the Gods is a musical play written by Owen Panettieri with music by David Carl and lyrics by Panettieri. The story, a fresh take on Sophocles' Antigone, takes place in a modern-day suburban elementary school. The plot is described as follows: "When Annie and Hayden wear costumes in violation of school rules to the Thebes Street Elementary Halloween Celebration, a small power struggle between students and faculty erupts into a full-out battle for control."

Broadway veterans Jennifer Cody and Scott Schafer will star, along with Jennifer Lauren Brown, Erica Diaz, Molly McKenna Dillon, Sean Bennett Geoghan, Sam Perwin, and Perri Yaniv. The full cast includes Bryson Bruce, Michael Hull, Max King, Megan Mekjian, Elyssa Renee Ramirez, Lauren Alice Smith, Allison Winn and Andreas Wyder.

Vestments of the Gods will be directed by Joey Brenneman, who collaborated on Panettieri's award-winning FringeNYC play, The Timing of a Day, in 2010. The production will features set design by Elisabeth Svenningsen and costume design by Erin Michelle.
