HERE Announces 2014-15 Season

HERE has announced its 2014-15 season lineup, beginning Labor Day Weekend with Trade Practices, written by Erin Courtney, Eisa Davis, Robert Lyons, Qui Nyguen, KJ Sanchez, and Chris Wells, and directed by cocreator Kristin Marting. The creative team also includes original music by Xander Duell McMahon, additional music and sound design by Jane Shaw, video design by Jared Mezzocchi and Gil Sperling, set design by the production's cocreator David Evans Morris, lighting design by Natalie Robin, costume design by Elizabeth Bourgeois, and music direction by Larry Heinemann. Performances will run from August 31-September 21.

Send for the Million Men, Joseph Silovsky's examination of the controversial executions of Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, will follow, running from December 3-13. Silovsky collaborates with with Victor Morales (video designer/performer) and Catherine McRae (sound), to create a piece that incorporates his unique style of oratory with animatronics, robotics, puppetry, and handmade projectors.

Choreographer Rebecca Davis will then present Bloowst windku, described as "a sculpture that is performed." Performances will run from April 20-May 3, 2015.
HERE, along with other venues, will also host productions joining the third edition of Prototype: Opera/Theatre/Now, an annual festival of visionary opera-theater and music-theater works from New York City and around the world. Festival performances will run from January 7-17, 2015.

The annual Culturemart Festival will follow, running from March 3-14, 2015. The festival offers a platform for hybrid works in progress by artists in the HERE Artist Residency Program, spanning the genres of dance, technology, opera, visual art installation, puppetry, object theater, and more.
