Bullets Over Broadway, the new musical written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay of his 1994 film, will play its final performance at Broadway's St. James Theatre on Sunday, August 24. Susan Stroman directs and choreographs the show, which is the recipient of six 2014 Tony Award nominations.
As of closing, Bullets will have played 156 regular performances and 33 previews. The musical began previews March 11 and officially opened on April 10, 2014.

Bullets Over Broadway tells the story of an aspiring young playwright (Braff) who arrives on Broadway in 1920s New York and is forced to cast the talentless girlfriend (Yorke) of a mobster (Pastore) in his latest drama in order to get it produced.
The musical features a design team of Broadway veterans including Santo Loquasto (scenic design), 2014 Drama Desk Award winner William Ivey Long (costume design), Donald Holder (lighting design), Peter Hylenski (sound design), Paul Huntley (wig and hair design), William Berloni (animal training), Glen Kelly (music supervision and adaptation/additional Lyrics), Doug Besterman (orchestrations), and Andy Einhorn (music direction/conductor and vocal arrangements). The Broadway production of Bullets Over Broadway features existing music of the period.
