As previously announced, Emmy winner Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) is set to star in Tony winner John Patrick Shanley's new drama, The Danish Widow. Shanley will direct the drama, which runs from July 16-27, as part of New York Stage and Film's Powerhouse Theater season at Vassar College.

The first images of Sedgwick, who plays an insurance investigator who engages in a battle of wits with the play's title character, have just been released. Joining Sedgwick in the company are Broadway veterans Tony nominee Craig Bierko (Matilda), Matt McGrath (The Normal Heart), and Annika Boras (Macbeth).
