Atlantic Theater Company Artistic Director Neil Pepe and Managing Director Jeffory Lawson have announced casting for their upcoming world premiere production of Women or Nothing, the first full-length play written by Academy Award-winning comedic screenwriter Ethan Coen of the prolific Coen brothers (The Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men, True Grit).

Drama Desk Award nominee David Cromer (Nikolai and the Others) directs a cast that includes Robert Beitzel (Cromer’s off-Broadway production of Our Town), Halley Feiffer (The House of the Blue Leaves), Susan Pourfar (Tribes), and Tony Award nominee Deborah Rush (Blithe Spirit). The play follows two women who are described as being “so desperate for a child that one of them will even sleep with a man.”

Women or Nothing will begin performances on August 28 in advance of a September 16 opening, and will run through October 6 at the Linda Gross Theater.
