The producers of the upcoming Broadway production of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, which will play at the Walter Kerr Theatre beginning October 22, have announced that Bryce Pinkham (Shakespeare in the Park’s Love’s Labour’s Lost), will take on the murderous starring role.

Pinkham will play Monty Navarro, an unscrupulous man who has just learned that he is ninth in line to inherit a dukedom. He sets out on a quest to off the eight heirs ahead of him (all played by Tony Award winner Jefferson Mays) in a witty and shameless musical extravaganza.

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder features a book by Robert L. Freedman, music by Steven Lutvak, and lyrics by Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak. Peggy Hickey choreographs.

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder played Hartford Stage in October 2012 before a run at San Diego’s Old Globe. Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak helms the production.
