Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation Accepting Observership Program Applicants

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) is accepting applications for its 2012-2013 Observership Program. Applications are due on July 31.

The program is offered to emerging directors and choreographers, who are given the opportunity to observe master directors and choreographers as they work on Broadway, Off-Broadway and regional productions. Observers work from the first day of rehearsal to opening night.

Each observer receives a weekly stipend of $200 and a project travel stipend. Observers on productions outside of New York and away from their homes are provided with a small housing stipend if needed. Additionally Observers who are not members of SDC receive a free one-year associate membership upon SDCF’s receipt of the Final Report.
