Randy Graff, Bryan Jarrett, Michael Mastro Join Cast of the Fresh Fruit Festival Reading of 8

All Out Arts has announced final casting for its reading of Dustin Lance Black’s 8, which as previously announced, willl be presented as part of the Fresh Fruit Festival July 27 at 8pm at The Wild Project.

The play chronicles the historic trial in the federal constitutional challenge to California’s Proposition 8, which stripped gay and lesbian Californians of the fundamental freedom to marry. It is based on the actual words of the trial transcripts, first-hand observations of the courtroom drama and interviews with the plaintiffs and their families.

The full cast will feature Stephen Mo Hanan (Chief Judge Vaughn R. Walker), Roger Rees (Charles J. Cooper), and Rick Elice (David Blankenhorn). They will be joined by Stacia Newcomb (clerk), Ben Frankln (broadcast journalist), Michael Mastro (Theodore B. Olson), Patrick Husted (David Boies), Bryan Jarrett (Jeff Zarrillo), Sam Rosen (Paul Katami), Randy Graff (Sandy Stier), Karen Oster (Kris Perry), Scott Pearson (Elliott), Mark Fisher (Spencer), Rachel Burttram (Dr. Nancy Cott), Susan Louise O’Connor (Maggie Gallagher), Sanjiv Jhaveri (Dr. Ilan Meyer), David Turner (Ryan Kendall), Brendan Powers (Dr. Gregory Herek), Destan Owens (Dr. Gary Segura), Peter Kim (Dr. William Tam), and Al Sapienza (Evan Wolfson).
