The show, with music by Alexander and book and lyrics by Mathias, looks at a diverse group of individuals, who are each visiting major tourist attractions around the United States. The original cast, all of whom are re-assembling for the album, featured Stanley Bahorek, Donna Lynne Champlin, Jonathan Hammond, Ryan Hilliard, Mamie Parris, Bryce Ryness, and Sally Wilfert.

Directed by Jack Cummings, III, the show garnered a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical for Mathias, and was nominated for five other awards, including Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Lyrics, and Outstanding Direction.
