Broadway’s Ghost the Musical to Close on August 18

The Broadway production of Ghost the Musical will end its run at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on Saturday, August 18 after 39 previews and 136 performances. The production opened on April 23.

The production will launch a national tour in the fall of 2013, with international productions in Korea, Germany, Sweden, China, and Australia in development.

Caissie Levy, Richard Fleeshman, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Bryce Pinkham star in the musical, based on the popular film of the same name. The show is directed by Matthew Warchus and features music and lyrics by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard and book and lyrics by Bruce Joel Rubin, who won an Academy Award for his screenplay for the film.

The cast also features Michael Balderrama, Tyler McGee, Lance Roberts, Moya Angela, Carly Hughes, Jason Babinsky, James Brown III, Mike Cannon, Stephen Carrasco, Jeremy Davis, Sharona D’Ornellas, Josh Franklin, Albert Guerzon, Afra Hines, Karen Hyland, Alison Luff, Vasthy Mompoint, Jennifer Noble, Joe Aaron Reid, Constantine Rousouli, Jennifer Sanchez, Daniel J. Watts, and Jesse Wildman.

The creative team includes Rob Howell (scenic and costume design), Hugh Vanstone (lighting design), Paul Kieve (illusions), Jon Driscoll (projection designs), Bobby Aitken (sound design), Christopher Nightingale (musical supervision and arrangements), and David Holcenberg (musical direction).
