Broadway’s Bring It On: The Musical to Receive Cast Recording

The Broadway production of Bring It On: The Musical, now at the St James Theatre, will receive an Original Cast Recording, according to a Tweet from composer-lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda.

On July 24, Miranda, who co-wrote the score with Tom Kitt and Amanda Green, announced via his Twitter account
@Lin_Manuel, “For those asking about a @bringiton cast album, 1st of all, thanks! 2nd of all, we’ll record it soon after we open, and get it to you ASAP.” A spokesperson for the production could not confirm news of a recording session, a record label, or a timeline.

In April, Sh-K-Boom Records digitally released a 3-track sampler recording of the musical.

Bring It On: The Musical is directed and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, with a book by Jeff Whitty, and with music supervision by Alex Lacamoire.

The cast features Taylor Louderman (Campbell), Adrienne Warren (Danielle), Ryann Redmond (Bridget), Elle McLemore (Eva), Jason Gotay (Randall), Ariana DeBose (Nitika), Gregory Haney (La Cienega), Neil Haskell (Steven), Janet Krupin (Kylar), Kate Rockwell (Skylar) and Nick Womack (Twig), along with Calli Alden, Nikki Bohne, Dexter Carr, Shonica Gooden, Haley Hannah, Rod Harrelson, Casey Jamerson, Dominique Johnson, Michael Mindlin, Adrianna Parson, Bettis Richardson, Antwan Bethea, Danielle Carlacci, Michael Naone-Carter, Courtney Corbeille, Dahlston Delgado, Brooklyn A. Freitag, Melody Mills, David Ranck, Billie Sue Roe, Sheldon Tucker and Lauren Whitt.

The creative team includes David Korins (scenic design), Andrea Lauer (costume design), Jason Lyons (lighting designer), Brian Ronan (sound designer), and Jeff Sugg (video design).
