Broadway’s A Streetcar Named Desire Cast to Receive AEA’s Diversity Award

The cast of the Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire will receive Actors’ Equity Association’s Extraordinary Excellence in Diversity on Broadway Award for the 2011-2012 Season. The award will be presented on Tuesday, July 17.


The production, which is directed by Emily Mann, runs at Broadhurst Theatre through Sunday, July 22.


The cast includes Blair Underwood as Stanley, Nicole Ari Parker as Blanche, Daphne Rubin-Vega as Stella, and Wood Harris as Mitch, and also features Rosa Arredondo, Amelia Campbell, Teddy Cañez, Carmen De Lavallade, Danielle Lee Greaves, J. Mallory-McCree, Aaron Clifton Moten, Morocco Omari, Jacino Taras Riddick, and Count Stovall.

The creative team includes Terence Blanchard (original music), Camille Brown (choreography), Eugene Lee (set design), Edward Pierce (lighting design), Paul Tazewell (costume design), Mark Bennett (sound design), and Rick Sordelet (fight direction).
