"From Before," a dance piece created by Tony Award winner Garth Fagan, will be presented by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater as part of its 2012 New York City Center season, which will run November 28-December 30.

The season will also include a new production of "Grace" by Ronald K. Brown, whose work is represented on Broadway by The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess.

A total of 19 premieres, repertory favorites and classic Ailey works, including his signature work "Revelations," will be performed this season. Among the other selections will be the world premieres of Kyle Abraham's "Another Night," and Robert Battle's "Strange Humors," as well as the company's first production of Jiri Kylian's "Petite Mort."

Tickets go on sale September 4 at the City Center Box Office or online at www.alvinailey.org or www.nycitycenter.org.
