Carey is the author of 11 novels and the winner of numerous international literary prizes, including the Booker Prize in 1988 and 2001, and was a finalist for the Booker and the National Book Award in 2010.

Still Waters in a Storm offers home-school programs, immersive fieldtrips, reading and writing lessons and one-on- one interaction with award-winning authors, to help improve students' grades. In addition, the group provide individual, full and part time remedial literacy instruction for all levels and ages.
