Stick Fly to Now Play Broadway’s Cort Theatre

The Broadway production of Lydia R. Diamond’s Stick Fly, which was previously announced for the Lyceum Theatre, will now play the Cort Theatre. The first preview of November 18 and opening night on December 8 remain the same. Kenny Leon will direct the play, which will have Alicia Keys as one of its producers.

Stick Fly is a portrait of an upper class African American family vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard and explores parental expectations, sibling rivalry, and issues of class and race. The play has been seen regionally at such theaters as the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ, Arena Stage in Washington, DC, and the Huntington Theater Company in Boston.
