My Big Gay Italian Wedding to Close on August 20

The Off-Broadway show, My Big Gay Italian Wedding, will play its final performance at St. Luke’s Theatre on August 20. A London production is planned for Fall 2011.

The show focuses on two gay men as they plan their wedding and the people around them, including an overbearing Italian mother, a jealous ex-boyfriend, the wedding planner from Hell, and an assortment of family and friends.

The company includes Anthony J. Wilkinson, Chase Coleman, Erik Ransom, Adam Shorsten, Brett Douglas, Liz Gerecitano, Leah Gerstel, Randi Kaplan, Chad Kessler, Kim Sozzi, Marissa Rosen, Meagan Robar, Joe Scanio, Joey Murray, Mike Russo and Tommaso Antico. Teresa A. Cicala directs.

The production also features choreography by J. Austin Eyer, scenic design by Rob Santeramo, costume design by Philip Heckman, lighting design by Graham Kindred, choreography by J. Austin Eyer, and original music and lyrics by David James Boyd.
