The cast of the current Broadway run of Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, performing at the St. James Theatre, will host a “Be-In” performance to benefit Broadway Impact and help celebrate the recent victory for marriage equality in New York state on Sunday, July 24 at 9pm at Rockwood Music Hall (196 Allen Street). The event coincides with the first day gay couples in New York State can legally wed.

Presented by Thick and Thin Music, the concert will feature songs from Hair, along with original songs and cast favorites.

Hair, which is directed by Diane Paulus, features a book and lyrics by Gerome Ragni and Rado, music by Galt MacDermot, and choreography by Karole Armitage.

The production features Steel Burkhardt (Berger), Paris Remillard (Claude), Matt DeAngelis (Woof), Kaitlin Kiyan (Crissy), Darius Nichols (Hud), Kacie Sheik (Jeanie), Phyre Hawkins (Dionne) and Caren Lyn Tackett (Sheila). The cast also includes Shaleah Adkisson, Emily Afton, Nicholas Belton, Larkin Bogan, Corey Bradley, Marshal Kennedy Carolan, Laura Dreyfuss, Mike Evariste, Lulu Fall, Tripp Fountain, Nkrumah Gatling, Allison Guinn, Sara King, Josh Lamon, John Moauro, Christine Nolan, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Arbender Robinson, Cailan Rose, Tanesha Ross, Jen Sese and Lee Zarrett.
