Carol Burnett, Mary Tyler Moore, Joan Rivers, Jerry Seinfeld, et al. Set for PBS Tribute to Ed Sullivan Show

Mary Tyler Moore will host Ed Sullivan’s Comedy Legends, a tribute to The Ed Sullivan Show, to be broadcast by PBS beginning on August 6.

The retrospective will feature poignant new remembrances from Ed Sullivan veterans such as Carol Burnett, Rich Little, Jackie Mason, Anne Meara, Carl Reiner, Joan Rivers, and Jerry Stiller, as well as testimonials from the next generation of great comedians, including Joy Behar, Kathy Griffin, Arsenio Hall, Lisa Lampanelli, Richard Lewis, George Lopez, Ray Romano, and Jerry Seinfeld.

In addition, the program will include excerpts from The Ed Sullivan Show that spotlilght the timeless routines of George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Rodney Dangerfield, Bob Hope, Jack Benny, Red Skelton, Flip Wilson and many more.

Following the August 6 premiere, PBS will air the program throughout the August pledge period. Check local listings for stations and times.
