Bobby Cannavale, Reeve Carney, Bernadette Peters, Mary Tyler Moore, Aaron Tveit, et al. Set for July 9 Broadway Barks!

An updated lineup of participants has been announced for the 13th annual Broadway Barks!, to be held in Shubert Alley on Saturday, June 9 from 3:30pm-6:30pm. Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore will host this annual dog and cat adopt-a-thon.

Among the celebrities who are scheduled to take part in the event areas Nick Adams, Nina Arianda, Heidi Blickenstaff, Steel Burkhardt, Kerry Butler, Norbert Leo Butz, Bobby Cannavale, Reeve Carney, Victoria Clark, Jennifer Damiano, Paige Davis, Matt DeAngelis, Sutton Foster, Adam Godley, Joel Grey, John Benjamin Hickey, Jackie Hoffman, Nikki M. James, Isabel Keating, Josh Lamon, John Larroquette, Beth Leavel, Joe Mantello, Michael McGrath, Judy McLane, John McMartin, Patina Miller, Michael Mulheren, Bebe Neuwirth, Rory O’Malley, Brad Oscar, Patrick Page, Andrew Rannells, Paris Remillard, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Kacie Sheik, Alexandra Silber, Will Swenson, Aaron Tveit, and Yul Vazquez.

The event, produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will once again help many of New York City’s shelter animals find permanent homes by informing New Yorkers about the plight of the thousands of “homeless” dogs and cats in the metropolitan area. The celebrity presentations of pets from citywide animal shelters will take place between 5:30pm and 6:30pm.

Representatives from local shelters and organizations will be on hand, including Animal Care & Control of New York City, Adopt A Boxer Rescue, Animal Haven, Anjellicle Cats Rescue, Animal Relief Fund, the ASPCA, Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition, Bideawee, Bobbi & the Strays, City Critters, Humane Society of New York, Husky House, Kitty Kind, Long Island Greyhound Rescue, Loving Touch, Manhattan Valley Cat Rescue, Metropolitan Maltese Rescue, Mid Atlantic Great Dane Rescue, North Shore Animal League America, Pet-I-Care, PLUTO Rescue of Richmond County, Russell Refuge, SaveKitty Foundation, Sean Casey Animal Rescue, Stray from the Heart, Tigger Foundation, Urban Cat League, and Wagon Train Rescue.

n addition, the event will feature an auction of celebrity-autographed memorabilia.
