Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Alice Playten, Peter Scolari, Liz Torres, et al. Set for Kenny Solms’ It Must Be Him

Three-time Emmy Award nominee Peter Scolari and Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee Liz Torres will star in Kenny Solms’ new comedy, It Must Be Him, to be presented Off-Broadway at the Peter J. Sharp Theatre, August 24-September 26, with an opening on September 1. Daniel Kutner will direct the play for Off The Aisle Productions.

Scolari will play a whiz kid comedy writer from the heyday of variety television, who is now down on his luck and looking to make a comeback.

The cast will also include Patrick Cummings, Stephanie D’Abruzzo, Harris Doran, Ryan Duncan, John Treacy Egan, Jonathan C. Kaplan, David Margulies, Alice Playten, Edward Staudenmayer, and Jessica Tyler Wright.

Special musical material is written by Larry Grossman (music) and Ryan Cunningham (lyrics). The creative team features Wendy Seyb (choreography), Court Watson (scenic design), Laurie Churba (costume design), Joel Silver (lighting design) and Duncan Edwards (sound design).

Solms is the co-creator and writer of the Emmy Award-winning Carol Burnett Show. His Broadway credits include the books for Lorelei and Perfectly Frank.
