The campaign will help lobby for "Safe Harbor" laws, protecting victims of sex trafficking from being arrested and prosecuted for prostitution. The US petition will officially launch in The Body Shop stores and online at www.thebodyshop.com/stop on August 2.
The Somaly Mam Foundation was founded in 2007 to help young girls escape from forced prostitution and help in the fight to combat human trafficking. ECPAT (End Child Prostition and Trafficking) operates in 75 countries as a network of organizations and individuals working to protect every child's right to grow up free from sexual exploitation.
