Marlo Thomas to Join Miley Cyrus in LOL; Dolly Parton, Vicki Lawrence, et al. to Star with Cyrus on Hannah Montana

Screen and stage star Marlo Thomas will appear opposite Demi Moore and Miley Cyrus in LOL, an English-language remake of Gallic hit LOL: Laughing Out Loud, according to a report in Variety. Lisa Azuelos, who directed the original movie, will direct the remake from her own screenplay.
The movie focuses on a 15-year-old (to be played by Cyrus) who, after being dumped by her boyfriend, sets her sights on his best friend. Moore will play Cyrus’ character’s mother and Thomas will play the young woman’s grandmother. The film will also feature Ashley Greene, Thomas Jane, Ashley Hinshaw, Lina Esco, George Finn, and Douglas Booth.
In related news, Dolly Parton, Vicki Lawrence, Ray Liotta, Jay Leno, Sheryl Crow, and Kelly Ripa are among the stars scheduled to make guest appearances on Cyrus’ hit Disney Channel show Hannah Montana this season, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
