Kyle Jarrow’s Love Kills Musical to Receive Staged Readings at Lark Play Development Center

Lark Play Development Center will present two staged readings of the new musical Love Kills, featuring book, music, and lyrics by Obie Award winner Kyle Jarrow, on Friday, July 30 at 4pm and Monday, August 2 at 7pm in the Lark Studio. Kent Paul will direct, with musical direction by Matt Hinkley.

Set in a jail cell in 1958 Nebraska, the musical follows the true story of Charlie Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate, two teenaged lovers whose weeklong murder spree inspired such films as Badlands and Natural Born Killers. A version of the musical was previously presented at the 2007 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

Admission is free. To RSVP and for more information, call 212-246-2676 or visit larktheatre.org.
