Karen Clark Sheard to Star in Church Girl Musical

Grammy Award-winning gospel singer Karen Clark Sheard will star in Angela Barrow-Dunlap’s new musical Church Girl, which will play the Beacon Theatre, November 16-21.

The musical tells the story of Emily Franklin, the seemingly wholesome daughter of a prominent pastor, who is seduced by the charms of a worldly life. While Emily has been working diligently to cover up the dark choices she has made, when her secret is exposed, events take a dramatic turn and skeletons coming crashing out of her closet.

The cast will also feature A’ngela Winbush, Demetria McKinney, Sean Blakemore, and Drew Sidora.
